Senior Technical Adviser for the Essential Health Services Programme in Kenya; Design of 5-year work plan for improvement of maternal and neonatal health indicators in Nyanza Province; design and conduct of population based baseline surveys in 6 districts in Nyanza Province on availability and functioning of services for maternal and neonatal health, review of national level infrastructure and processes for establishment of a Confidential Enquiry into Maternal Deaths(CEMD), design of cluster-based approach to build capacity for maternal and newborn health care especially with regard to increased skilled birth attendance and essential obstetric and newborn care, design of evaluation methodology for EHS Programme.
